The Fly Side project responds to the top world news headline from the NY Times newspaper. For each of 9 days in July, I assigned myself to appropriate the corresponding nation's flag. The lines and shapes are cut from a single sheet of fabric, painted, and sewn back together. The process results in slight adjustments in color and orientation.
